Significance of Bypass Fat Feeding to Dairy Animals
S.S. Kundu, S.K. Sirohi
and Sultan Singh |
Abstract
"Adding fat to dairy rations can affect
productive efficiency of dairy cows
through a combination of caloric and non
caloric effects. Caloric effects are
attributable to greater energy content and
energetic efficiency for utilization of
lipids compared to carbohydrate or
protein. Non caloric effects are caused by
benefits from added fat that are not
directly attributable to its energy
content."
