Abstract "To
minimize the population shifts, economic
activities at the grass-roots are
essential. It calls for a greater
initiative to encourage rural enterprises
for which land, labour, easier access to
market and capital (fund) are of prime
consideration. The existing funding gaps,
which have been primarily dominated by the
village moneylenders, are being gradually
replaced by the micro-financing system.
Instead of any direct government funding,
an incentive-oriented policy is called for
to foster growth of the micro-financing
system in the Indian Dairy Sector!"
