Dr. K.T. Sampath is Director, National
Institute of Animal Nutrition and
Physiology, Bangalore. He did his B.V.Sc
from University of Agricultural Science,
Bangalore and M.V.Sc. (Animal Nutrition)
from Indian Veterinary Research Institute,
Izatnagar, UP. He completed his Ph.D. in
(Animal Nutrition) from Kerala Agricultural
University, Trichur.
Dr. Sampath's
area of specializations are: Assessment of
nutritive value of feed and fodders; Rumen
degradable and undegradable fractions of
protein sources and their use in ration
formulations; Improving nutritive value of
low quality roughages; Pesticide residues in
feed and fodders; Role of amino acid
nutrition in milk production. Amongst
various awards, Dr. Sampath has received,
some of the them are: Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed
Award (1980-81); CLFMA Award-(1992-94); Best
Paper Award (Indian Journal of Dairy &
Bioscience)-1998-2003; Best Paper Award
(Indian Journal of Dairy Science)-2004.
