FAD 19 Sectional Committee meeting of Bureau of Indian Standards

THE PRESIDENT, Dr. G.S. Rajorhia attended the 20th meeting of FAD 19 – Dairy Products and Equipments Sectional Committee organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards at its National Institute of Training for Standardization (NITS), Noida on 15th December, 2019.

The Sectional Committee reviewed the old products in harmonization with the provisions laid down in the Rules and Regulations framed by the FSSAI. The product standards which were discussed included Khoa and Channa based sweets, infant milk substitutes, condensed milk, edible casein, milk-cereal based complimentary foods, malted milk foods, cheese, ice-cream, sterilized cream, flavoured milk and other milk products. The sampling procedures and methods of test were also discussed and finalized. The meeting was chaired by Dr. R.R.B. Singh, Director, NDRI, Karnal.
