Organic livestock farming has a great scope in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh as the Bakarwal Gujjar, Changpas and Gaddi communities already rear their livestock under pure organic conditions. This can be promoted in favour of encouraging the culture of organic farming. Government can play a very vital role in this process by providing incentives to these communities and tribes so that they can commercialize their organic rearing.
